The first game in the Zelda series begins in a time of crisis for Hyrule. The evil monster Ganon has stolen the Triforce of Power, a magical artifact of great power, and kidnapped the Princess Zelda of Hyrule. Ganon also tried to steal the Triforce of Wisdom, but fortunately the Princess managed to shatter the Triforce and scatter its pieces across the world. She also sent out her nurse, Impa, to find a person worthy enough of finding the pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and defeat Ganon. Impa finds the boy Link, who is given this huge burden to save the land of Hyrule...
