The first pokemon games ever released were Pokemon Red and Green in Japan. Soon later, the Blue version was released in Japan, with revamped sprites among other content changed. It was this Blue version, and its Red counterpart that were released in the other areas. The main point of this game is to gather the 8 Pokemon League Badges and defeat the Elite Four. Defeating Team Rocket is another important thing that is necessary in this game. You are given a choice of three Pokemon at the beginning of the game to be your partner, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. From there you are given the task of completing the Pokedex by Professor Oak. The Yellow version differs slightly from the other ones.
